The Cumming School of Medicine Alumni of Distinction Awards (AODA) recognize graduates whose leadership and accomplishments have made a positive impact in their professional field or community. Winners of these awards may have contributed as educators, researchers, clinicians, or community leaders. Recipients will have shown innovation, dedication, and integrity and their contributions will have made a positive impact on their world.

Nominations should be in the Alumni Engagement Office by midnight, Friday, October 9, 2026. The winner will be chosen by the members of the Medicine Alumni Advisory Council and announced in early 2027.
A strong nomination includes up to four letters of support (only one is required). Letters of support should be written by peers or individuals who can speak to the candidate's impact on their field or in their community. Please describe and interpret your candidate’s accomplishments in language that a broad alumni audience can evaluate.

The selection committee will consider challenges that nominees may have faced while still achieving excellence, such as coming from a marginalized, racialized, or remote community or having diverse abilities.
Past ARCH winners and posthumous nominations are not eligible for consideration.
