The highest honor awarded by the by the UCalgary Alumni Association, the Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes a graduate who over the course of their life has made a notable contribution that’s improved their profession and community. Having reached the pinnacle of professional and personal success they enrich the lives of others through their leadership, shared knowledge, creativity and innovation.
Nominations should answer the following questions:
- What unique contributions has the nominee made to their profession and community?
- How has the candidate's professional or personal success enriched the lives of others?
- In what ways was the candidate strikingly innovative in bringing about lasting change in their profession or community?
A strong nomination includes letters of support (up to four), one is required*. Letters of support should be written by peers or individuals who can speak to the nominee’s impact on his or her profession and or community. Please describe and interpret your candidate’s accomplishments in terms that a lay reader can understand.
